DAY 36: Just Another Scabby Day in Paradise.......

DAY 36:  Estes Park, CO - August 5, 2010

Well folks, today started out at the beautiful, brand smackin' new Estes Park Medical Center, complete with  greeter, coffee bar and attentive medical personnel.  Before you panic, let me just say that everything is fine.  Charlie-boy had a few little scabby-looking thing-a-majegs on the top of his head that had changed in color and shape and we just wanted to have them looked at before moving on to our next destination.  But before heading to the doctor, we did a little self-diagnosing of our own.  Here's a few of the possibilities we came up with:

1)  Hail Damage (afterall, we've been riding in our fair share of hail storms lately...)
2)  Liz Damage (sometimes I'm forced to smack him on the head when he acts, as Obama would say, "Stupidly"....)
3)  Murphy Damage (just trust me......you really don't want to know.....)

Anyway, Chuck was kinda hoping it would be something that would allow him to get hair implants, but low and behold, it turned out to be just a little skin cancer that can wait till we get home in a couple months (aren't ya glad I included a picture of the top of his head???  Hope you're not trying to eat....).

Well, we pulled one over on the rain today.......we beat it home!!  We saw it "Comin' Round the Mountain" and headed home licky split.........just baaaaaarely made it.........

Thought I'd give you an update on the kiddos.......

Murphy is still lugging around Myrtle the Monkey.....It may just be me, but her arms are looking shorter these days......He takes her EVERYWHERE.......especially when we go for a walk.....there is no doubt in my mind that all the other dogs in the park are laughing at him behind his back......heck....they're laughing at him to his face; carrying that pink long legged monkey in his mouth......TOUGH GUY!!

And Kruger, the one-claw cat, is just kicking back enjoying life......her favorite thing to do is sit on the dash, staring out the window keeping tract of everyone that goes by.....we call her the Gladys Kravitz of the neighborhood......check it out......she is too cute.  And when she's REALLY feeling frisky, she steals and hides Myrtle the Monkey........

And Chuck and I; we're just enjoying being in Colorado and the cooler weather......yaaa, we'll take a few hail balls, monsoon rains and scabby heads to avoid the heat back home.......but we do miss our friends and family.........
