DAY 10: It Was A No Good, Very Bad Day for Chuck......

DAY 10:  Colorado Springs, CO
TEMP:  88 Degrees

Today was a
NO GOOD
VERY BAD DAY
for
CHUCK

It actually started out looking to be a good day for him........afterall, his Body Healer from yesterday came back this morning and performed some more "healing" on him......

But then everything quickly went downhill......

He lost the key to his portable scooter......the one thing that gives him mobility most every where we go.  This was right before we were scheduled to move out of our favorite RV park, Pikes Peak RV Park, and head on over to another town.  We looked EVERYWHERE for that key.  Couldn't find it to save our life!  I finally quit trying to find this on our own and shot a quick prayer up to the only One who knew where that key was.......WHALAA!!  Within 5 minutes, I found the key laying on the ground behind the motorcyle.  Coincidence?  I don't think soooooooo.............  As you can tell by the photo, it was near impossible to see on the ground.

And then..........the worst part of his day happened.  As he was pulling the motorcycle trailer with the trike from the overflow parking to our awaiting RV, he "mowed" down the RV park's mailbox.  It was seriously one of those "slow motion" moments.......Here I was in the drivers seat of the RV, watching Chuck come closer on the trike with the motorcycle trailer following close behind....he has a great big smile on his face as he's watching us watch him, when BAMMM......the trailer (which is wider than the trike) literally drove right up and over a huge mailbox on a post.  He stopped for a moment as the trailer was sitting on top of the downed mailbox with that stumped look on his face; trailer now lopsided to the left, and then he just proceeded on.......That's when I ever-so-slowly got out of the motorhome with my phone and started taking pictures.  As everyone ran out of the office to see what all the noise was about, they reminded me at least I didn't have to find something to Blog about tonight!

Now, you may recall he tripped over the flower pot at this same RV park earlier this week and we just got that replaced yesterday; tomorrow we'll be paying for a new mailbox and post......Now I know you think I'm picking on poor Charlie.......and I guess I kinda am......but it's with his blessing and his wonderful sense of humor that he allows me to tell you these things.  We laughed so hard we cried as we, Lucy and Ricky Ricardo, headed out to see what damage we could cause at the next RV park......

Tell Chuck that he is pure entertainment to me. Also, I learning a new term, its on my facebook. Its called "chunk" or "chunking" Ok so its not "chucking" or "chucking" but close enough for government work.

Miss you guys. When will you return home?

Why is it 88 degrees there??? You should have photoshopped the sign for the tavern
out of Chuck's picture...especially on this blog....people might want to smell his breath!
Poor Chuck! Taking it all with style! Were we all to have that kind of attitude!
Today is a brand new day! I love you both lots and lots.

Well I did not have avoid day either. I was putting some soaker hose and fell over a big rock. This is skinned up my left eye and forehead. My left and right knees and my left arm. We decided to go to the hosp at 430and arrived back at home at 1100pm with no broken bones.

Hi Liz,

(Ya just gotta love him!!) You two are making wonderful memories, for yourselves as well as all of us "bloggees"!!
Never a dull moment with the Ricardos loose on vacation...
Thanks for sharing your adventures, Chuck!  It's nice to know I'm not the only one who does things like that  :-P  !
I'm gonna miss seeing you guys at the lake next weekend.  (Bet ya'll don't miss the 100+ degree heat at the lake, huh?)
Have fun in the mountains :)

Nancy

P.S. Might want to put a piece of hot pink or lime green Duck tape (or ribbon) on the top of that scooter key to make it easier to find next time!
