"Snowball!"
Fluffy
Gosh he is soooo cute. Here is my entry:
MO for Eskimo!!!
What do I win?
Cotton. Cause he looks like a big ole cotton ball.
Sitka -- there is a Sitka Sound just off of the state of Alaska; south and west of Juneau, AK. Juneau would also be a good name!
Dakota
He’s so beautiful, I keep thinking he’s a girl, and could have some wonderful names for a girl!
I think you definitely have to stay away from the Levi, Gus, Magnum … all those macho names reserved for big strong labs!
Right off hand, I’m thinking … Max … but I’ll keep thinking.
Max and Murphy …. hmmmmm
MacKenzie … means fair; favored one (call him Mac)
Muffy … means unusual
Max … means greatest
Charlie … oh, I’m liking Charlie
OK that’s my homework for the night
How about salty dog
Okay, Liz.
Here are some cute, not necessarily PC names for the new, adorable ball of fluff:
Blanca, Blizzard, Honky, Casper, Doughboy (as in Pillsbury), Q-Tip, Klondike, Whitey, Ghost, Chardonnay, Snowball
A bit more sophisticated: Balto, Bjorn, IRVING--Scottish for "handsome & fair"; Thor, Winston,
Gannon--"the little blonde or fair one"; Togo--traditional Husky name
Names with Alaskan meanings: (Probably easier to pronounce after a glass or two of vino)
Nanuk--polar bear
Siku-- ice
Qannik--snowflake
Sesi--snow
Sitka--a city in Alaska (did you see the movie "The Proposal"?)
And one more:
Mackinley--of Gaelic origin meaning: "son of the white warrior" (that would be Troy) and his nickname could be Mac--short for Mac notebook--remember the conversation last night after three glasses of wine...?!?!?!!!! I think it also sounds good with Murphy...Mackinley...Murphy...Mackinley...you get the idea.
But, if Troy & Becky don't love it, see if they like Winston...He just LOOKS like a Winston to me.
(W for White...)
Look at his picture one more time, and see if you don't agree! Color me crazy, but that's what I think :)
Have fun sifting through all the names coming in...Keep me posted on what they decide!
Thanks,
Nancy
I said "snowball" from the begining, but also like Juneau- I think he needs
some sort of "Alaska" name!!! What a cutie! What does Mr. Murphy think?"
Lisa
"snuckems first then palin for alaska that might stir up some conversations. let
us know what the name is and the prize for the winner?"
Fuzzy.
Frosty
He reminded me of something cold.'ALASKA' is my name. n mc
Doylene=”Curly”
Arlen=”Google”
Whatever the name it should be short. Stand in the yard and say the name like you want the dog to come to you. It should not be similar to a command How does that sound.
Bear
Snowball.
Bruce. With lisp
PAC (Poor abadoned cat)
Dear Liz and Chuck.....I was just about to send you an email re blogitis (the lack of getting
daily or frequent blogs from Liz) when this neat email came.....just in the nick of time.
So I am going to submit the name "nick" or Nicky" for this sweet doggie....what a lot of hair.
He sure looks like he is paying attention and "not missing anything" sitting up there so
pretty. Let me know if I won the Lexus....that was the prize wasn't it? We joke about
Lexuses at busch gardens often...sort of a health workers joke.
How about “Snowball”?
Bonnie
I can't believe they finally did it...........good for them. Another friend for Uno to play with. He looks like a snowball to me. I'll keep thinking. He is so cute.....
The new puppy is adorable!! Can't wait to meet him. The Knippenbergs submit the following names:
1. - SNOWBALL 2. MC KINLEY (for Mt. Mckinley, mountain in Alaska), 3. - DENALI ( Natl. Park where Mt. McKinley is)
Tom and Mary Lee
"Horton"...as in Johnny Horton's "North to Alaska" record!!!!!
SNOWBALL
When I look at those eyes, all I can think of is "Buttons 2".

This puppy is so beautiful!!!!
Connie says, "happy" cause he's always smiling. Gil says "Fido" is too common for an elite animal like that, so I say call him "Jack". That is sure a name that will bring him into the upper class.
Since they got him in October a name could be "Ghost". But I also like "Snow" or "Blanco".
"I thought of Snowball but I like Palin."
Snowy!!
He looks like "Eskie"...and he is adorable.. we love him...
Hi Liz - what about Sammy for the puppy's name. Jacquetta
Well he looks like a polar bear so I think Bear or Fluffy.
