Smell It and Pass It To Your Friends....."

One thing that has stood out to me over the past 4 weeks of traveling is how splendiferous the wildflowers have been.....and how they pose when I photograph them!
Especially coming from a state where anything with color is long dead from the intense heat.....
But here it is August.......AUGUST.....and it's like April in Texas!!
So thought I'd share some of the wildflowers we've smelled along the way......
With you, my friend.....
And hope and pray it makes your day a little less "sweltering";
A little less "drab"....
And make you think "Happy" thoughts.....

You know the definition of a weed is a plant out of place. Great pic."
Love these pics. I have been fond of flowers my whole life. I remember going thur my neighborhood as a child pick flowers out of other peoples yard. Mainly cause I had picked all of ours for weddings for me and my girlfriends.
Thanks for sharing.
I am hoping to capture some great pics along our journey. Missed one yesterday. A herd of cattle were in a pod of water up to their ears to stay cool. The funnies sight.
Enjoying your blog. You need to do a slideshow of your great pictures for a blue zone.
FYI... You and Chuck will have a LARGE welcome when you return. I am sure you have heard from Becky.
Safe travels.

Thank you for the pictures of the wonderful flowers.....isn't it marvelous what mother nature
can make, and we all enjoy. The blue morning glories sure brought back a wave of
nostalgia....mom had them growing along the fence and she used to put the sheets over
them to dry. I just loved those flowers. Now I have a morning glory picture right over my bed and
I look at it each morning.....if it isn't dark when I leave...ha.
You got some excellent pictures and thanks for sharing....I really enjoy
them. Take care and have fun and be safe.

I hope you know how lucky you are to be somewhere cool.. it's getting up to 114*
around these parts and even higher.. it's
dangerous to even go out so I just stay right here inside all the time..and I'm
so thankful i have a cool home to be in.. over
a hundred people have died with this heat.. a lot in Dallas..

Oh Liz,
This was just wonderful! All our potted flowers are dying because they are just so stressed from this heat, so just looking at your pictures made me feel cool!
Love you,
Sandee

Have they not been the most! We’ve been taking wildflower pictures since we got here too, even had our granddaughters taking them. It’s fun to show the beauties of the Rockies to others.
Have a good trip!
