I've Misplaced My "Joy"........

Tuesday, February 28, 2012

"Peace is not merely the absence of conflict in your life,
It is also the defeat of self-doubt in your path."
by Dodinsky

I have a confession......

I have misplaced my "Joy".

Have you ever gone through periods in your life when everything was perfect; the planets lined up precisely; everyone in your life was happy, healthy and well; the sky was bluer; the grass was greener.....

And the whole time you're going through that perfect period in your life, you have that constant little whisper in your head that's telling you it won't last......don't get too comfortable cause it'll be taken from you.....

Well, lately I've been feeling that time has come.  I've been missing my Joy.  It just seems like everyone I know is sick....or in crisis-mode......or just plain sad.

But in an attempt to get my Joy back, I was looking back through snapshots I've taken of where I've been and what I've seen over the past few weeks and it dawned on me, my Joy has been there all along........I just needed to open my eyes.

Check it out here.....

sometimes people who are gifted like you are get used up by others you have the gift of sun shine and we all really enjoy the sunshine and you really enjoy bring ing sunshine to the lives of others which Makes it even harder for you to take care of Liz Liz needs her own sunshine which she has her Jesus and many things he has given her to be her sunshine but Liz has to give herself permission to shut the door on others needs in order to fill herself with the things in her life that make her shine

Give yourself the freedom to not have to be there for everyone and I will pray for the renewal of you joy by our sweet Jesus and sometimes people who do so much for others have no where to go themselves for there needs .know that I am always here to listen if you need to talk please just call me

My dearest Liz,

I love you! How I miss the daily blogs like when you're on the road! I couldn't log onto the Google site. Any special way or thing I should know (like proper email address, which password, etc.)?

I so understand about missing your joy. I, too, have been in such a desert. I have been in such a desert lately so, with that said, I hope and pray your soul is refreshed:

Rom 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit

Gal 5:22 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Phi 1:7 - Your love Liz has given me Regina great joy and encouragement, because you, brother sister Liz have refreshed the hearts of the saints.

Heb 1:9 - You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

Jas 1:2 - Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sister, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.

I Pet 1:3-9 - Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade - kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

My precious friend, our God is so amazing and so good! He knew I would want to say words of encouragement and love about His joy and He used those same words to encourage me in this desert time, a bright beacon in darkness, a refreshing drink in a wasteland. Thanks be to our God!!

So, at the end of this day and during this desert time I will praise Him. I will praise Him for He is the God who gives and takes away. I will praise Him for He is worthy.

I love you and wish you His joy,

Regina

I speak a miracle of joy to you in the name of Jesus! Our challenge is to praise anyhow. Be thankful anyhow. Love anyhow. Trust anyhow.

I love you and bless you my dear, dear friend.

I know you have many burdens in your life with your Mother's quickly fading health and Chuck's health problems. I keep you in my prayers and pray God helps you through the darkness. I know how hard it was when my mom was living within the shell of her mind and I cried many tears. I hurt for you my friend but I am here for you too.

I too have been sad. No reason just sad and confused. I think I just need a good cry to wash all the tears out of my system so I can find my joy again too.

After a few struggles they are about to finish up our room. We have had some problems and they have contributed to my mental state. They need to add a light and roof it and we should be done with them. We have to wait until the wood on the floor cures (end of April) before we can stain it, but we can move back into it and let the cats roam again. They will be so happy.

Hugs, kisses and prayers to you my sweet friend.
